FUNDRAISING PORTFOLIO

Donor.
Data.
Story.
Community.

I notice both the person and the pattern.

Annual giving strategy, donor analytics, fundraising writing, stewardship, sponsorship and the systems that keep the work connected.

COMMUNITYIS AN ASSET.

Start with the relationship, not just the transaction.

03STORY

Write for the audience without losing dignity or clarity.

Build from the assets, relationships and possibility already present.

PROJECT 04

Donor Appeals & Recurring Giving

MULTI-CHANNEL WRITING + RECURRING GIVING

Direct Mail • Digital • Giving Tuesday • Monthly Giving • Employee Payroll Giving • Audience-Specific Asks

I do not begin by writing the same appeal for everyone. I begin with the audience, what we know about the relationship, the purpose of the ask and what action makes sense next.

PORTFOLIO WRITING SAMPLE — EMPLOYEE GIVING / RECURRING GIVING

This sample demonstrates long-form fundraising storytelling and conversion to a recurring payroll-giving ask.

Sometimes the difference isn’t motivation. It’s room to keep going.

We see students every day who are already doing everything they can to move forward.

Veronica Breguta was one of them.

While attending College of DuPage, Veronica worked full time while balancing classes, deadlines, family responsibilities and the everyday expenses that do not stop just because someone decides to go back to school.

She received a $2,000 scholarship through the College of DuPage Foundation.

The scholarship did not do the work for her.

Veronica did.

She kept showing up. She managed work and school. She pushed through late nights and difficult weeks. And she graduated with a 3.96 GPA.

That is what I think about when I think about employee giving.

It is not about rescuing a student.

It is about recognizing someone who is already working toward something and asking:

Can we make one part of the road a little lighter?

As COD employees, we already invest in students every day—with our time, our knowledge, our patience and the work we do behind the scenes.

Payroll giving gives us another way to make that support consistent.

$1 per paycheck becomes $26 over a year.

$3 becomes $78.

$5 becomes $130.

$10 becomes $260.

The point is not that everyone should give the same amount.

The point is that small, recurring commitments become something bigger when a community makes them together.

If you are not giving yet, consider starting with $1 per paycheck.

If you already give, consider adding $1.

And if another amount feels right for you, choose that.

You may barely notice a dollar leaving a paycheck.

A student can absolutely notice what those dollars make possible.

Start where you are. Give what feels right. Help make room for a student to keep going.

ONE CHANNEL. DIFFERENT FUNDRAISING SKILLS.

Recurring giving is not one message repeated three times.

01

OFFER DESIGN

Making recurring participation accessible through a small paycheck-based entry point.

02

AUDIENCE + MESSAGE

Adapting the giving opportunity specifically for an internal employee audience.

03

STORY + CONVERSION

Using a real student success story respectfully to connect the donor to the purpose of recurring support and then make a clear ask.

RECURRING GIVING

More than one mechanism. More than one audience.

This portfolio includes both monthly giving and employee payroll giving. The structure changes with the audience, channel and donor relationship; the goal is always a clear, appropriate invitation that respects donor choice.

PROJECT 05

Stewardship, Sponsorship & Gift Operations

Relationship-centered fundraising beyond the ask: sponsorship, executive ghostwriting, acknowledgment and follow-through.

PROJECT 06

Fundraising Approach & Professional Perspective

Community-centered fundraising, strong writing, data-informed decisions and systems that help development teams follow through.

WHAT I BRING

Strategy that stays connected to people.

The strongest fundraising work keeps the data, message, relationship and execution connected.
